Your microbiome.

Our microbiome houses roughly 39 trillion microbial cells, including bacteria, viruses, and fungi that live in and on us. Some might find that repulsive, but really, those little guys are doing most of the hard work for us. I don't know about you, but I've grown an extreme appreciation and gratitude for the magnitude of what they actually do. They make up a complex ecosystem that plays a vital role in human health. 🦠

Commensal bacteria extract nutrients and energy from our diets, maintain gut barrier layer (mucosal layer), produce vitamins, and protect you from invading pathogens. They feed off what you feed it, and what most Americans are eating today aren't proactive in helping our microbiome thrive.

80% of your SEROTONIN is produced from your gut. I'm sure you are aware of the importance of serotonin and 70% Your immune system starts in your gut.

Allergies, weight resistance, acne, mood dysregulation, anxiety, skin issues, etc. Your microbiome is your second brain 🧠 and there is a link between your gut-brain-axis. Your digestive system has its own nervous system called the enteric nervous system, and it has over 100 million nerve endings.

Our microbiome plays such an important role in our day to day lives. If you know now that what you put into your body could potentially change so much, would ou make those changes?

We only get one body. It's quite literally the house to your soul. You have a body, you are a soul. My greatest life work will be to continuously help my clients and those around me to restore their bodies back to balance and find homeostasis. 🌿🧘‍♀️
